School's done and it's pretty terrific. Here are my last two thesis images of the semester! Once again, my project is called Suburban Myths, which of course is a play on the idea of urban myths - modern day folk stories that offer a really warped and exaggerated perspective on the nature of humanity. My thesis offers a similarly mutated interpretation of the values and habits of people who inhabit suburbia.


For this first one, I wanted to do a sort of title illustration to tie everything together. It was a good opportunity to do a panned-out image of the suburban landscape. It was also a good opportunity to go bonkers painting billions of tiny tiny houses.

And here is an appropriately seasonal illustration about the unexpected consequences of having the best Christmas light display on the block. Happy Holidays. :D
